This Helsinki pub opened in 1973 and, according to its website, is one of the oldest in Finland. It is named after President Urho Kekkonen (1900–1986), who served from 1956 to 1982 and was, the site says, a regular customer. It belongs to the Botta group, which also runs Bistro Dagmar and Manala. Beer is served on tap and by the bottle, along with cider, and food is available.
The kitchen follows the opening hours of Restaurant Manala. There is outdoor seating, food can be taken away, games are available and dogs are welcome. The entrance is not step-free. A visit usually lasts 45 minutes to 3 hours.
