The bistro occupies a historic wooden barracks built in 1892 on the island of Suomenlinna. Before becoming a restaurant the building served as a non-commercial officers' club, and it was renovated in 2006–2007. The menu has traditional bistro dishes with a modern twist, with meat and vegetarian options, and the à la carte list also includes pizzas, burgers and house-baked desserts. Seasonal menus and a crayfish menu are offered at certain times of the year.
The terrace has a view of the capital's skyline, and dogs are welcome. A function room, two separate 12-person private dining rooms and sauna facilities suit meetings and private events, and group packages include a murder mystery dinner for 10 to 60 people. The restaurant has been part of Restel's Food & Events group since spring 2021. Seating, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
