At this Japanese restaurant in Helsinki the chef chooses every course, in the omakase tradition. Japanese owner-chef Yamamoto Takao runs the kitchen, and the menu centres on traditional aged sushi and seasonal ingredients. Once a month a washoku night for eight guests features takikomi gohan (seasoned rice cooked in a clay pot), appetisers, sashimi and chawanmushi, a savoury egg custard.
Dining is by reservation only, made online, and guests are asked to read the booking guidelines first. Private dining is available, and gift cards are sold online. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible, but there is accessible seating, an accessible toilet and a hearing loop.
