Run by the City of Helsinki, this soft-sand beach is in the outdoor recreation area on the island of Mustikkamaa. There are changing cubicles with benches, a shower and a toilet, plus a restaurant, a kiosk and an outdoor gym, and lifeguards are on duty during the swimming season.
It is about a 30-minute walk over the bridges from Kalasatama or Kulosaari metro station, and you can also come by public transport or city bike. The changing rooms are open while the lifeguards are working, and in summer water quality and temperature are reported on ulkoliikunta.fi. Four accessible parking spaces lie over 100 m away, but the route has a steep hill and steps, and the toilet is not fully accessible.
