Originally built as an exhibition hall, this Helsinki sports hall was a competition venue for the 1952 Olympic Games. Hall A has courts for volleyball, basketball and badminton, a running track, a gym, a boxing gym and table tennis, and Hall B a basketball court, a wrestling gym, fencing rooms and a choreography room.
The entry fee covers every free space except the gymnastics hall, and courts are first come, first served. Independent gym training is for ages 15 and over, and lockers need your own padlock. A separate accessible gym has its own entrance. Meeting rooms and a private sauna can be booked, and a visit usually takes one to two and a half hours.
