Founded in 1982, the association supports children and young people with cancer and blood diseases treated on the Taika inpatient ward at HUS New Children's Hospital, as well as related research. The ward was formerly known as Ward 10.
Funding comes entirely from donations by private individuals and companies. Contributions go towards patient care, research and ward equipment. Fundraising activities also include concerts.
