This Helsinki-based organisation works across many fields against inequality and is religiously and politically non-aligned. It belongs to the international settlement movement and operates across the capital region. Its adult education institute runs hundreds of courses a year for around 6,000 students, and it also supports people with a criminal or substance-use background, offers mediation and runs neighbourhood houses.
You can volunteer or support the work through donations, legacies, corporate partnerships or membership. Rooms in the Setlementtitalo building are rented out for offices, training, parties and events. The entrance, toilet, seating and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
