Founded in 1921, the photography association organises weekly meetings, lectures and club activities, some available remotely. After an induction, members can use a studio, lighting equipment, a darkroom and digital workstations. Equipment includes film and flatbed scanners, an A2 pigment printer, Photoshop and Lightroom.
The premises are at the Cable Factory. Members have a club and meeting room with audiovisual equipment and Wi-Fi. Exhibitions are held in Galleria West and the Kamera gallery. Members can access the 2013–2024 archive of Kamera magazine, previously published by the association.
