Founded in 1957, this national umbrella organisation for mixed choirs belongs to Sulasol, the Finnish Association of Singers and Instrumentalists. It has around 75 member choirs and 2,300 individual members. It publishes mixed-choir sheet music and trains singers and conductors.
Singers are encouraged to earn proficiency badges and enter small-group competitions. The annual national meeting moves between Finnish locations. Member choirs receive help accessing adult education grants through Sivis Study Centre. The office is in Kaapelitehdas, the Cable Factory.
