Based in Helsinki, this student nation brings together students from Nyland (Uusimaa) and anyone who feels like one. It was founded in Turku (Åbo) in 1643 as a nation for students from the region. It owns apartments directly and through shares, housing more than 100 members in about 70 flats, and keeps an art collection.
Club nights are held every Thursday, alongside themed evenings, dinners and parties such as Gäddfest and Julfest. Members can apply for grants for studies, study trips, studying abroad or research, with applications opening each January. Membership is applied for online, the website is in Swedish, and nation merchandise is sold in an online shop.
