Visual arts professionals teach an extended-syllabus basic arts education programme. Groups explore drawing, painting, construction, composition, ceramics, textile printing, photography, media art and virtual visual environments. Students can add subsidiary studies in five other art forms.
There are 30 teaching weeks a year, with lessons lasting 60–135 minutes by level. Students can display work in a shared exhibition. Short courses, workshops and holiday camps serve different ages. Premises can be hired briefly, including for children's celebrations with an activity programme.
