Founded in 1937, this Helsinki-based non-profit association works to preserve traditional sauna customs and culture, develop the Finnish sauna and support sauna research. It publishes the members' magazine Sauna-lehti and presents the Löylynhenki award. UNESCO added sauna to its list of intangible cultural heritage on 17 December 2020.
The association runs its own sauna house, with separate women's and men's sessions as well as mixed ones. Sessions are booked through an online calendar and are open to members and their guests, children included. There are 11-visit, three-month and annual cards. The car park has accessible spaces, and the entrance is step-free.
