Founded in 1953, this national expert and development organisation brings together elderly-care providers and the voices of older people in public debate. It has 71 member organisations. Its themes include diversity, participation, technology skills and cooperation between generations.
Projects address digital equality, technology for older people, outreach elder care and intergenerational activities. The organisation arranges days celebrating caring and grandparents and presents a grandparent-of-the-year award. Statements, consultation responses and newsletters are published online, with materials in Finnish, Swedish and English.
