Founded in 1959, the scout troop has around 150 members and focuses on hiking and outdoor skills. Weekly meetings are supplemented by around four weekend hikes a year, longer camps, day trips and parades.
Children turning seven and older can join. Cub meetings last an hour, with older groups meeting for around 90 minutes. Trips go to forests in southern Finland and the parents' association cabin in Pornainen. The meeting place is in Vartiokylä Church. The entrance, seating and toilet are not wheelchair accessible.
