Founded in 1848, the Academy of Fine Arts is one of the three academies of the University of the Arts. It teaches sculpture, painting, printmaking and space-time arts. Programmes also include a bachelor’s degree in contemporary art history and theory, the Praxis master’s programme in curating and art writing, and doctoral studies in artistic research.
The Kuva/Tila exhibition space operates year-round. A digital collection presents student work from the 19th century onwards. The English-language Uniarts Hub pre-incubator supports creative business ideas. The building has a wheelchair-accessible entrance.
