Opened in 1993 in a former coal cellar, this Helsinki jazz club programmes classic jazz, blues, roots country and Latin dance music, with disco and party sounds late at night. Thursdays bring jam sessions, and the piano bar hosts acoustic and piano sets. The kitchen draws on Louisiana and New Orleans cooking, with dishes such as jambalaya, Cajun specialities and Bananas Foster.
In summer the park terrace has a charcoal grill and live music every day, but takes no table bookings. There are three bars, and groups can reserve the VIP area for a whole evening. The age limit is 18. Some events are ticketed through Tiketti, while others are free to enter.
