The youth association focuses on Karelian folk dance and music, teaching children, young people and adults. Around 140 participants dance in 11 groups, accompanied by its Rälläkkä ensemble. Rauni and Sakari Riikonen founded the dance group in 1968; the association was registered in 1994.
It performs at local, national and international festivals and creates productions reinterpreting folk dance. Group memberships and event tickets are sold online. Volunteers also support its activities.
