Pelastakaa Lapset (Save the Children Finland) is a non-political child rights organisation working in Finland and internationally. Its work is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and aims to secure children's right to life, protection, learning and participation. It has over 100 years of experience in child welfare work.
On a non-profit basis it offers child welfare services to Finnish wellbeing services counties and expert services for social welfare and child protection professionals. Volunteers can act as support persons, sports mentors or foster-type family homes. Corporate donations and cooperation are welcome, and an annual Christmas fundraiser supports low-income families. It also provides humanitarian aid in crises, including Ukraine and Gaza, and publishes the annual Lapsen ääni survey on children's wellbeing.
