The rehabilitation centre for people with combined hearing and sight impairment belongs to a national advocacy, peer support and service organisation founded in 1971. The unit began as a children's centre in the 1980s. Services include rehabilitation and information on assistive devices and communication methods.
The organisation's clubs provide peer support. Members receive Tuntosarvi magazine and can take part in annual meetings and decision-making. Other services include a library, study circles, housing search support and grants.
