This nature trail in Kaarina, just over the border from Turku, leaves a sandy road lined with old oaks and maples and heads for the shore, leading to a bird tower and boardwalks towards Katariina. Nearby, a lookout tower stands on a rock with views towards Turku, and a lean-to shelter is tucked between the rocks. A sign by an old building tells the history of the area's buildings.
From the car park, walk towards the sea. The route is a loop, and dogs are allowed. Pushing a pram up to the tower is close to impossible, and the rocks can be steep and slippery when wet. There are several geocaches in the area, and hepaticas flower along the path towards Katariina in spring.
