On the Kuusistonsalmi strait in Kaarina, near Turku, this ice-swimming spot lies in the grounds of Ala-Lemu Manor, built in 1767 by Archbishop Carl Fredrik Mennander. Besides two ice holes and a freshwater cold pool for beginners, there are several saunas: a wood-heated one for 20 on a pier over the sea, built in 2022 with direct access to the ice hole, two wood-heated barrel saunas and one on the beach for nearly 30.
Café Lemo, licensed and with 50 seats, is on the beach terrace, and you may bring your own food. The premises can be hired for private events, and 10- and 50-visit cards are sold. Cash, cards, Smartum, ePassi and Edenred are accepted.
