Founded in 1983, this national child welfare organisation provides aftercare, family work and professional and volunteer support person services. Its work includes integration support for young people with immigrant backgrounds and projects to prevent social exclusion among children and young adults.
Professional support persons work mainly with school-age children living with their families. Supported housing develops independent living skills, while family work supports young parents and families with immigrant backgrounds among others. Training is offered to volunteer support persons and support families, alongside integration training. The website is in Finnish and Swedish.
Share your experience of the support on Suomi Guide to help other families and young people.
