The child welfare provider runs the Välke and Hopeatähti foster care units. Each accommodates up to seven children or young people, with a furnished room for every resident. Shared facilities include a living room, kitchen, meeting and craft room, sauna, bathroom with hot tub and a yard.
Staff are present around the clock. Each child has two personal supervisors who contact parents weekly, and parents receive monthly summaries. Daily life includes school, hobbies and jointly planned weekly group activities.
