Founded in 1983, this breed club brings together Pharaoh Hound and Ibizan Hound enthusiasts and supports breeders and pedigree work. It is recognised by the Finnish Kennel Club and belongs to the Finnish Sighthound Federation. The club follows breed development in Finland and abroad and maintains links with foreign breed organisations.
Activities include shows, trials and other breed events. The annual two-day Farkkuweekend gathers enthusiasts and their dogs. The club publishes Farkku magazine, member bulletins and champion certificates.
