This heritage farmstead in the Puijo forest area is built in the northern Savo style. The farm has existed since 1770 and is part of the oldest building stock in the area, run by Johanna and Jukka Koskinen. The café-restaurant serves salmon soup from a family recipe, pizzas, pastries, and hot and cold drinks, and it holds a serving licence.
Events run through the year, including Christmas openings, Halloween events and summer festivals. The site can be hired for private events, company meetings and team wellbeing days. Activities include nature yoga, sound bath relaxation, snowshoe hikes and courtyard games. The log-walled meeting room in the tupa has presentation equipment, and Christmas parties take up to 30 guests. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard but not inside the café, out of consideration for allergic guests. Park along the road, or drive into the yard on non-event days. The toilet is wheelchair accessible.
