This substance harm prevention organisation's regional office serves Northern and Southern Savo, North Karelia and Central Finland. It works to prevent harms from alcohol, drugs, nicotine and gambling with citizens, associations, volunteers and public bodies.
The organisation trains and advises municipalities, wellbeing services counties, schools and educational institutions. National services include a round-the-clock substance advice line, an ombudsman service and substance-free Elokolo meeting places. Its role is prevention rather than treatment.
