Founded in 1906, this women's association works in substance misuse prevention and social welfare. Its history includes the Rajala children's home from 1908, a women's employment agency and support for women prisoners, students and wartime evacuees. Its first chair was girls' school head Elisabeth Ingman.
Activities include peer support and therapy groups, excursions, training, seminars and meetings for health and social care professionals. Membership is open to women interested in voluntary association work and helping others. The independent local association belongs to the Finnish White Ribbon Union.
