This Lutheran church is the local church of the Joutjärvi parish. It was designed by architect Unto Ojanen and consecrated in autumn 1962. Its triangular, fortress-like form is said to symbolise the doctrine of the Trinity, and the building blends traditional and modern spaces. The main hall seats 650 and the Kyllikki serving hall holds up to 64 for memorials, small weddings and christenings. The altar relief Golgata is by Pentti Papinaho (1963) and the textiles by Helena Vaari (1990–1995).
The 1962 organ from Gebrüder Jehmlich in East Germany was donated to Estonia in 2014 and replaced by a new instrument from Sotkamon Urkurakentajat. The church was thoroughly renovated in 2005–2006. The venues can be rented for concerts, funerals, weddings and meetings, with a kitchen, Wi-Fi, projection screen, piano and sound system. Access is step-free, with an accessible toilet and induction loop, and a car park for about 50 cars.
