This is the local church of the Launeen seurakunta parish, designed by architect Erik Lindroos and completed in 1953. It was extended in 1958 with a meeting space attached to the sacristy and a bell tower. The main renovation took place in 2000–2001, keeping the exterior and facade materials. The church textiles were designed by professor and textile artist Helena Hyvönen, and the organ is a Paschen organ from Germany. The main hall seats 190 and suits services, concerts and events.
Launesali downstairs holds up to 50 people and Lähdesali upstairs up to 40, for memorial events, christening coffees and other celebrations. Facilities include a sauna, kitchen, wifi, video projector, and a piano and grand piano. The hall is wheelchair accessible by a ramp at the main door, with an accessible toilet and a lift to the lower floor. An induction loop serves hearing aid users, and there is parking for 50 cars on the Kaarikatu side, including an accessible space.
