Industrialist Gösta Serlachius had this manor built in Mänttä as his representative home, and today it houses an art museum in a wooded lakeside setting. The permanent display of classic works and sculptures draws on the paper-industry family's collections, begun over a century ago and now about 10,000 works strong. Large galleries also host changing exhibitions.
Tickets are sold online, including for the Tuesday public sessions at the Serlachius art sauna. Henry Tikkanen's Ravintola Gösta serves seasonal local food and needs no admission ticket. A summer café opens in Autereentupa, and there is a museum shop. The site is largely accessible, and parking is free.
