The network-based research, education and regional cooperation hub brings together expertise from Aalto University, the University of Helsinki and LUT University. With around 120 staff, it focuses on sustainability transition, ecosystems and entrepreneurship, datafication and artificial intelligence.
Units include the Ruralia Institute, a National Library branch, a coordination unit and a local LUT unit. The Tiedepolku school programme introduces pupils to recycling and the circular economy at Metsäsairila. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
