This family-owned restaurant describes itself as the first and only Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant in Finland. The menu offers traditional Eritrean and Ethiopian food for omnivores, vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free or lactose-free diners. The injera bread is made mostly from teff and other naturally gluten-free flours. The tsebhi/wot and tibs dishes are gluten-free and lactose-free, and all vegetarian dishes are vegan. Organic products are used where possible, along with seasonal local ingredients and no ready-made convenience foods. An Ethiopian coffee ceremony is served with 100% organic Arabica, with a decaffeinated option, alongside mies/tej honey wine and a cocktail inspired by it, also available without alcohol.
Booking a table is recommended, especially for groups. The meadi/gebeta combo platters are for at least two people. The whole restaurant can be booked outside opening hours for private events such as birthdays, anniversaries, company events and Christmas parties. Accessible parking is available.
