This restaurant in the city centre serves Finnish and North Finland cuisine made with local produce. The menu changes five times a year, following the Finnish seasons. Fish and meat are sourced fresh, mainly from local waters and forests, the fish from WWF-approved stocks, and the geese are raised ecologically. Everything is cooked in-house from scratch with its own spices, with no ready-made convenience foods. The menu includes reindeer meat and steaks, and the drinks selection features rotating beers.
The restaurant is owned by the Sotaniemi brothers, who took it over in early 2013. It uses renewable electricity and energy-saving lighting, and sorts and recycles its waste. Private dining and meeting rooms suit groups of up to 50, and gift vouchers can be bought by email or in person. Seating, parking and the entrance are wheelchair accessible.
