Registered in 1951, the hunting club leases over 5,500 hectares of hunting grounds. It operates a shooting range with trap shooting and shooting tests and runs hunting dog trials and district championships.
Its activity centre at Sörjälä farm includes a sauna building and a meat processing facility with a cold room. The website provides hunting maps, member bulletins and contacts for reporting large predator sightings. Club rules cover fire safety and hunting arrangements on certain islands and in the Viurusuo area.
