Built in 1892 to J. Brynolf Blomqvist's design, the neo-Gothic funeral chapel is among Finland's oldest. It stands in the cemetery's old section beside the Juselius Mausoleum. There are 40 seats, with a Romantic-style organ completed by Germany's Hinrich Otto Paschen organ factory in 2001.
The Evangelical Lutheran parish federation runs the chapel. Renovations took place in 1913, 1933, 1965 and 2000. The entrance, toilet and parking area are wheelchair accessible, but there is no passenger lift. The nearest parking is across the road opposite the Orthodox church.
