This neo-Gothic brick church was built in 1859–1863 to designs by Carl Johan von Heideken. Georg Chiewitz designed the interior decoration and the cast-iron top of the tower. It seats about 1,700 people. The altarpiece, depicting the Resurrection, was painted by Robert Ekman in 1863, and the glass paintings in the apse, from 1925, are by Magnus Enckell. The church was renovated in 1995–1996 with textiles designed by Raija Rastas. Its 2007 organ, built by Paschen Kiel Orgelbau, has 58 ranks, and the annual organ festival is held here every June. In the churchyard stands a soldiers' memorial made in 1952 by Aimo Tukiainen.
Services are held on Sundays and holidays at 10:00, with a Wednesday communion devotion and a Tuesday evening prayer meeting. Weddings, baptisms and concerts can be held here, and rooms, baptisms and weddings are booked through the parish office. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
