This family-owned bakery was founded in 2015 by Minna and Jukka Saarelainen. Everything is made from scratch on the premises, using Finnish ingredients and raw materials from nearby regions. The bread names come from Lapland dialect words such as Son, Hyä, Ainua, Perso and Raavas, and recipes are partly based on family recipes handed down from grandmothers.
The range includes root-baked rye breads, Lapland rieskas and hand-shaped sweet buns such as cinnamon and cardamom buns, lemon and pistachio twists and Kampanisu. Karkuri, a root-baked barley bread, and Hiuko, a multigrain roll with seeds, are also baked. Customers include grocery stores, professional kitchens and visitors to the bakery shop. The car park is wheelchair accessible, but the entrance is not.
