Founded in 1924, the shooting and hunting club has around 500 members. It runs the Pahkamaa shooting range and organises shooting and hunting activities. Skeet, trap and compak training is open to members and guests.
Supervised pistol sessions require a military shooting certificate or a Finnish Shooting Sport Federation licence. The club arranges hunting season openings and trial shootings with the local wildlife management association. Guest permits are available for waterfowl hunting in the Ounasjoki delta.
