This national park in Salo, run by Metsähallitus (Parks & Wildlife Finland), combines peaceful nature with the life and craft traditions of old ironworks villages. Its lake and bog landscapes can be reached from three starting points: Mathildedal, Teijo and Kirjakkala.
You can hike, cycle, canoe and fish here. The routes suit day trips, and combining several of them makes a weekend-long visit. Some trails are suitable for children, and dogs are allowed.
