This area is part of Teijo National Park in Salo, managed by Metsähallitus (Parks & Wildlife Finland). The park combines peaceful nature with the life and craft traditions of historic ironworks villages, and trips can start from Mathildedal, Teijo or Kirjakkala, with direct access to lake and bog landscapes.
You can hike and picnic here, and some trails are suitable for children. The wider park also offers cycling, canoeing and fishing. The routes suit day trips, and by combining several you can spend a whole weekend outdoors. Dogs are allowed.
