The sculpture by Matti Peltokangas depicts a figure in Finnish history who lived from 1757 to 1814. He was a favourite of Gustav III and later a close adviser to Alexander I. His home estate was Åminne, also known as Joensuu Manor, and he is buried in Halikko church.
The work was unveiled on 13 August 2010 and donated to the city on that occasion. It stands in the yard of Halikko library. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
