Run by the non-profit Taito Etelä-Pohjanmaa association, this school teaches the extended syllabus of basic arts education in crafts. Early-childhood classes start at five and basic studies at seven. Basic studies comprise 800 hours and advanced studies 500 hours, with around 350 pupils each year.
The range also includes adult courses, woodwork and electronics groups, and sessions combining music and crafts for preschool children. Children's summer camps take place at the craft centres. The school operates under a teaching licence granted in 2008 and receives state funding.
