Liesjärvi National Park in Tammela was established in 1956 and is one of the oldest in Finland. Its sights include the Kyynäränharju ridge and a narrow isthmus about a kilometre long between Lake Kyynärä and Lake Liesjärvi, which are joined only by a channel a couple of metres wide that hikers cross on a bridge. At Korteniemi, a traditional landscape and cultural setting is kept up using traditional methods.
Hiking and outdoor trails include routes suitable for children, and there are picnic tables and a public toilet. The area can be reached by car, there is accessible parking, and dogs are allowed.
