This Tampere drop-in meeting place is one of several run by the Finnish non-profit EHYT ry, which also has them in Helsinki, Lahti, Pirkkala and Turku. It is based in the Kumppanuustalo Artteli building. Visitors can watch TV, read the day's newspapers, play board and card games, use a shared computer and chat with other visitors and staff. The weekly programme includes morning walks, bingo, quizzes and craft workshops, plus trips to exhibitions, museums and nature sites.
Everything here is alcohol- and drug-free, and everyone is welcome just as they are. Staff can help with questions about wellbeing, substance use and gambling, and peer support is offered once a week.
