Set in the Tallipiha stable yard in Tampere, this café serves a soup lunch every day, weekends included. The classic is a creamy smoked salmon soup, replaced by slow-cooked rice porridge over Christmas. Salads are made to order with warm-smoked salmon, chicken or goat's cheese, and there is freshly roasted coffee, tea, cinnamon buns, cakes and other sweet and savoury bakes.
At weekends buns are sold to take away from the terrace kiosk, and in summer there is seating on the terrace. A private room can be booked for meetings and small parties, with catering from the café's own kitchen. It is open every day, public holidays included. You order at the counter, and the entrance is not step-free.
