This small Tampere street café has made waffles in the Central European style since 1992. It occupies a roughly hundred-year-old building called the smallest stone house in the city, which has housed a shoe repairer, an antiquarian bookshop and a bookbinder; legend has it the city's first petrol station was here too.
Sweet and savoury waffles can also be made low-lactose, gluten-free or vegan. Tables cannot be booked, there is outdoor seating, dogs are welcome and high chairs are available. A visit usually takes from 25 minutes to an hour and a half, and the kitchen closes 15 minutes before the doors do. The entrance is not step-free. Cards and mobile payments are accepted.
