This church in Liisanpuisto park in Tampere was designed by Reima and Raili Pietilä and completed in 1966. Reima Pietilä won the 49-entry design competition, and the church's shape is based on the early Christian fish symbol. The nave is 30 metres high and seats up to 1,120 people, and the altar sculpture Särkynyt ruoko (Broken Reed) is carved from pine. It was protected in 2006.
Sunday masses and concerts are held here, and guided tours run on weekdays. Summer and winter opening times differ. The entrance is step-free via a ramp, there are lifts and accessible toilets, and an induction loop by the pulpit. There are two accessible parking spaces at the main door and no other parking.
