This church of the Orthodox parish of Tampere holds services such as joint-singing liturgies and bishop's liturgies, and it also draws visitors as a sight. Besides Tampere, the parish covers areas including Vaasa, Pori, Kokkola and Seinäjoki. The Nikolainsali hall is entered from the church's inner courtyard.
Guided visits can be booked through the sexton, while baptisms, weddings and funerals are arranged through the parish office. CDs of liturgical music are sold on site. Access is limited: the entrance is not step-free, the outdoor lift cannot be guaranteed safe to use, and there is no accessible toilet. There is paid parking on the street.
