This red-brick church of the Harju parish stands about seven kilometres from Tampere city centre. The area belonged to Ylöjärvi until 1950. Bishop Gulin consecrated the space as a church in April 1961. Architect Pentti Turunen designed the building and its oak altar cross, and a small organ was added in 1991.
The nave holds up to 120 people and is used for services, weddings, parish gatherings and children's day clubs. It has an induction loop. The step-free entrance is at the back, up a hill over unpaved ground, and the lobby has an accessible toilet and a baby-changing point. Braille and large-print hymn books are available from the verger.
