This Tampere church belongs to Harju parish and is part of a protected 1949 parish house complex. The earlier wooden building burned down in 1968, and the present hall, designed by architect Jaakko Ilveskoski, was consecrated in August 1971. The spacious interior holds a wooden crucifix from the old Harju chapel, two altarpieces by Annukka Laine from 2005 and a Silbermann-style organ from 2011, which the parish calls Tampere's first baroque organ.
The acoustics also suit concerts. A renovation in 2017–2019 added a space called Akvaario. The entrance and toilet are step-free, and there is an induction loop, large-print hymn books and an accessible parking space.
